"Adah Isaacs Menken, the female sensation of the 19th century"; clipped article headed "Miss Menken and her poems. From the London Star, Aug. 14 [1868]"; clipped article headed "Had Dumas at her feet", with lead references to acquisition of photographs of Menken by Henry Gilsey of New York, N.Y.; playbill, with large portrait of Menken, for "D--l in Paris" and "Lola Montes", at Howard Athenaeum, Boston, 1 July 1862.
